I'm sorry to report that these pics are from a movie, though if there were some shots like that, fake or otherwise, I would be the guy who would post them.

It seems fitting that Brian T. Jaynes would opt to debut the trailer for his upcoming "Boggy Creek" movie just a little over a week after the passing of legendary cult film maker Charles B. Pierce. As most of you know, Pierce made the original "Legend of Boggy Creek" film with $160,000 he borrowed from a friend. That film would go on to become a drive-in hit and fan favorite.

BROOKS LAICH HELPS CAPITALS’ FANS

WASHINGTON D.C. – One athlete showed that despite heartbreak, there’s still room to help others in need.

Brooks Laich is a forward on the Washington Capitals and wears No. 21. He’s become an NHL favorite, especially to Capital fans, thanks to his blue-collar approach to the game. On Wednesday, his Capitals “capped” off their playoff meltdown by losing to the Montreal Canadiens, squandering a 3-1 lead in the series and starting their vacation earlier than expected.

Mary Ann Wangemann and her 14-year-old daughter Lorraine are huge Capitals’ fans. That same Wednesday night, the two found themselves in pretty foul mood after watching their beloved Capitals make an early exit from the playoffs. Mary Ann had ordered a Brooks Laich jersey for Lorraine on that night, but it apparently didn’t bring any good luck to the team. The drive home was somber, to say the least, but it got a lot worse when the Wangemanns hit a pot hole that caused a flat tire.

This series of events intertwined the Wangemanns and Laich in a way that they never would of thought. Stranded on Washington D.C.’s Roosevelt Bridge, car after car passed the two until one finally stopped to help them. Much to their surprise, out of the car appears Brooks Laich, sleeves rolled up, ready to help fix a flat tire.

Despite his crushing defeat and amidst all the disappointment, Laich found it in his heart to help the stranded family and show the kinder side of athletes. Any individual has to feel a degree of warmth from this story. Laich earned himself two lifelong fans.

“He was like an angel, I’m telling you,” Mary Ann told Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. “Can’t say enough nice things about him.”

Laich was just doing his part, in the hopes of setting off a domino effect of good deeds. Not knowing how to thank him, Laich simply said; “I’m sure you’ll do something nice for someone in the future.” He hugged them and drove off.

CONAN O’BRIEN ON 60 MINUTES

NEW YORK, NY – Conan O’Brien opens up about his roller coaster ride that was his last few months!

Conan O’Brien will appear on “60 Minutes” Sunday night in his first interview since his less than pleasant departure from NBC’s “The Tonight Show.” In the interview, O’Brien admits that he believes he wasn’t given a fair chance to prove he could succeed and that money may have been the main reason NBC opted to bring back their former host, Jay Leno.

O’Brien also admits that if the roles had been reversed, he would not have handled the situation the same way.

“He went and took that show back and I think in a similar situation, if roles had been reversed, I know – I know me, I wouldn’t have done that,” he told CBS correspondent Steve Kroft. “If I had surrendered ‘The Tonight Show’ and handed it over to somebody publicly and wished them well – and then … six months later, I wouldn’t have taken it back. But that’s me, you know. Everyone’s got their own, you know, way of doing things.”

O’Brien approved to the interview with Kroft under the provision that it could not be aired until after May 1. His departure agreement with NBC stipulates that he was prohibited from appearing on television or any other form of media until after that date. O’Brien also signed in the agreement that he could not disparage either Leno or network executives, so at times during his upcoming interview, it may seem like he’s holding back.

Kroft does point out that Leno went on to say at one point that both comics got screwed by NBC’s handling of the situation. O’Brien responds with “How did he get screwed?” and notes that he’s the one on “The Tonight Show.”

O’Brien doesn’t want a pity party, however. He reassures Kroft that “I’m fine; I’m doing great,” and that despite all the decision he’s made he has no regrets.

His interview airs this Sunday, May 2, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CBS

BOY SCOUTS ADD VIDEO GAME AWARD

WASHINGTON D.C. – The Boy Scouts are getting in tune with technology with the addition of their new award!

Boy Scouts won’t be awarded solely for their superior outdoor skills from now on. Tying knots and building campfires will still be appreciated but now video game skills will also be rewarded. The group has added two new awards in the video game category.

Scouts will be awarded belt loops and academic pins for video game activities that promote education, teamwork and a familiarity with video game ratings.

“Video games are in two-thirds of American homes. That’s pa retie good number of people; they are in our schools, in most libraries,” explained Boy Scouts spokesman Renee Fairrer.

It’s seems like an interesting twist to a program that promotes active lifestyles in young individuals. Video games aren’t exactly high on the active scale and individuals can spend hours at a time plugging away at a game. The Boy Scouts are not worried, however, of their young scouts becoming couch potatoes.

“We have 53 programs and 28 of them are sports related like skateboard, rollers, hockey. It’s a good balance,” Fairrer said.

Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts can earn the belt loops by explaining “why it is important to have a ratings system for video games,” according to the Scouts. They must also create an appropriate schedule for video games that leaves times for chores and homework.

CELINE DION’S WATER PARK

JUPITER ISLAND, FLA. – A singer has listened to her inner child and made an incredible addition to her home!

Celine Dion’s “heart will go on” and so will her deepest childish fantasies. Dion has constructed a titanic-sized water park in the backyard of her $12.5 million mansion.

Released photos of the water park show a twisty water slide, two Olympic-sized pools and a lazy river. Dion, husband Rene Angelli and their son Rene Charles aren’t even residents yet but once they are they will be the first users of “Celine World.” The pool-system is comprised of 500-000 gallons and the lazy-river has a feature that can push an individual around the pool.

Dion was fined for being a “water hog” in 2008 and her massive use of water led to a drought in the area and water restrictions in the area. Her project used 6.5 million gallons of water a year. To silence the critics, Dion issued the construction of six wells on the property.

Although the water park is amazing, the house on the property is nothing to laugh at. The house is a whopping 9,825 square feet which includes a 460 square feet master closet to accommodate any divas wardrobe. The property lies on 5.7 acres that contains an underground parking garage, a gym in the beach-side cabana and eight bedrooms split up in two guest rooms – among other things.

Dion won’t be worrying about money anytime soon. She signed a new deal with Caesar’s Palace that will kick off in March 2011. She’ll be performing 70 shows a year for three years and will bank $100 million from it.

Get a peek at the water park here.
